Schedules and routines! Keeping a solid schedule allows everyone to know what to expect and what comes next during the day. Children thrive on consistency (and fun!). Check the schedule section for a more in-depth look into our daily routine!
-
Infants are on their own schedule which fits neatly into the toddler/preschool daily activities. These routines efficiently intertwine allowing plenty of time for everyone to play outside and do things as one happy group. Older children love helping and taking care of babies and babies look up to and learn from the older models. It is a win win!

It is age appropriate and typical for young children to be upset at drop off. A quick drop off and pick up has proven to be the easiest transition for children. They know what to expect with routine and consistency. 9/10 times before you pull out of the driveway the child is already settled and moved onto an activity!

The main floor of the house has a bedroom and office which create the perfect ambiance for a restful naptime. Depending on age and needs, children will sleep on a cot with their individual sheet and cozy blanket or in a pack n’ play with a sleep sack. Both areas have blackout curtains, a fan for air circulation and a soothing sound machine. We are safe sleep certified and use audio and video monitors as well as a 15-minute check-ins every nap time.
-
All children must rest. Nap time is important for little minds and bodies to recharge their little minds and bodies need after a stimulating and busy morning. Having a solid night routine is also beneficial for creating a healthy day time routine.

It is difficult for little bodies to contain excitement when being reunited after a fun day away from their family. The crossover between the child care provider and parents can be tough to navigate and big emotions may bubble over when both worlds collide.

On occasion we will play songs or yoga on the TV as well as using Alexa to play music so we can freeze dance or listen to stories and rhymes.
-
We ask for drop-offs to happen between 8-8:30am in order to start our day as a group. When your child is in care, are always welcome access to them! However, unnecessary and excessive drop ins will confuse and interrupt the flow of the day. I recommend sending a text if pick up will be a different time and I will do my best to have your child packed up and ready to go for an easy transition.

Updates include eating/bottles, pottying and sleeping as well as photos and notes/reminders throughout the day. I also welcome text messages or calls at all times!
